- Wednesday 25th February 2026
- 6.30pm (AEST) | 7.30pm (AEDT) | 8.30am (GMT)
Join us at our next Clinical Conversations webinar for an in-depth clinical discussion on Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. This session will help practitioners confidently recognise patterns and red flags associated with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and interpret key gastrointestinal and inflammatory markers.
Discover how the gut microbiome and pathogenic activity influence acute flares, and gain clarity on when to refer, when to treat, and how to support patients’ alongside medical care. The webinar will also explore environmental, dietary, and psychosocial triggers of IBD and provide strategies for developing evidence-based care plans that reduce systemic inflammation, optimise microbiome health, and improve patient outcomes.
Learning objectives:
- Recognise clinical patterns suggestive of inflammatory bowel disease (including red flags) and interpret key gastrointestinal and inflammatory markers.
- Understand the role the microbiome plays in Crohn’s and colitis, specifically the role of pathogens in an acute flare.
- Know when to refer, when to treat and how to provide support alongside medical interventions.
- Identify key environmental, dietary, and psychosocial triggers that can initiate and / or exacerbate Crohn’s and colitis flares.
- Develop an evidence-based IBD plan addressing the microbiome, reducing systemic inflammation and providing complementary support alongside medications.
